About the Host

Ms. Pisey is a dedicated mother and a pillar of her family, caring for both her daughters and her three nephews. Her home in Battambang is a lively and warm household where family values and hospitality go hand in hand.

With four years of experience as a housekeeper at the renowned Battambang Resort, Ms. Pisey has a professional background in making guests feel comfortable and well-cared for. While she speaks a little English, her genuine smile and hospitality transcend any language barrier.

Her garden is a tropical oasis, lush with mango trees, bananas, and coconuts. It is here, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Cambodian countryside, that she runs her welcoming homestay. Ms. Pisey loves sharing her knowledge of local flavors through her authentic cooking classes, offering guests a true taste of rural life.

Experience

Nestled on the outskirts of Battambang, Ms. Pisey’s home is surrounded by friendly neighbors and lush vegetable gardens. Depending on the time of year, you may even have the chance to wander through the garden and pick fresh, seasonal ingredients straight from the earth to use in your meal.

From the moment you arrive, Ms. Pisey and her family will welcome you with open arms and genuine warmth, dedicated to making your visit truly special. This is a hands-on culinary journey: together, you will prepare traditional Cambodian dishes from scratch, learning every step of the process.

With great enthusiasm, Ms. Pisey shares the stories behind the ingredients and the secrets of the Khmer kitchen. It is more than just a cooking class; it is a heartfelt, authentic experience that will stay with you long after the last bite.

Menu

Guests are invited to savor the authentic flavors of Cambodia with a menu featuring three classic Khmer dishes.
From the crispy crunch of homemade spring rolls to the delicate, aromatic spices of a traditional Fish Amok, every bite is a journey through local culture. To complete the experience, Ms. Pisey serves a delightful Khmer dessert, providing a sweet end to a communal meal.
